Workshops & Classes — Policies & Information

Welcome to Clay & Nature Studio.
I want your pottery class to feel calm, meaningful, and inspiring — a space where you can slow down, try something new, and enjoy the process of creating with your hands.
To keep everything running smoothly, please take a moment to read through the studio policies below.

Welcome to Clay&Nature. Please read these terms carefully before placing an order.

1. Booking your class

  • Your place is confirmed once  you receive a confirmation email.
All materials, clay, tools, and the firing of your finished pieces are included unless otherwise stated.

  • If you have any questions before booking, feel free to reach out.

2. Cancellations & Rescheduling

I understand that plans can change.
Please see the cancellation policy below:

If you need to cancel or reschedule

  • You may cancel or reschedule your class up to 24 hours before the session.

  • After this window, bookings are non-refundable.

  • No-shows cannot be refunded.

If I need to cancel

In rare cases (illness, emergencies, kiln issues), I may need to cancel or move a class.
If that happens, you can choose between:

  • A full refund, or

  • A free reschedule to a future date

3. Firing & Glazing Disclaimer

Ceramics is wonderfully unpredictable — which is part of its magic.

During drying and firing, pieces may experience:

  • small cracks

  • warping

  • glaze variations

  • differences in colour or texture

I take great care in each step, but final results cannot be guaranteed.

By booking a class, you acknowledge and accept these natural variations.

4. Studio Safety

To keep everyone safe and comfortable in the studio:

  • Long hair must be tied back

  • Please remove rings and bracelets before throwing

  • Wear clothes/shoes you don’t mind getting clay on

  • Please follow all instructions when using tools and equipment

  • If studio safety rules are not followed, I may ask you to stop working for your own safety.

5. Collecting your finished pieces

Your pottery will stay with me for drying, firing and glazing.
You’ll receive an email once your pieces are ready for collection — 4–6 weeks.

6. Liability

  • We are not liable for loss or damage caused by improper use or handling of products.

  • We comply with all applicable UK consumer protection laws.

7. Data & Privacy

When you book a class, I collect your name, email address, and contact details only so I can:

  • confirm your booking

  • send your reminder

  • update you about your pieces

Payments are handled securely through Wix Payments.
I don’t store or have access to your card details.
Your information is never shared with third parties.

8. Before you book

By completing a booking, you confirm that you have read and agree to the studio’s:

  • Cancellation Policy

  • Safety Guidelines

  • Firing & Glazing Disclaimer

I’m so happy to welcome you into the studio, and I can’t wait to share the joy of clay with you.
