What to expect

This 4-week intensive course offers a deeper dive into wheel-throwing through weekly private sessions in my garden studio in Wiltshire. Over four weeks, you’ll develop your skills step by step - from basic forms to refining shapes and understanding the process behind handmade ceramics. With one-to-one guidance, you’ll have the time and space to learn at your own pace, ask questions, and truly connect with the craft. All materials and firing are included, so you can focus fully on learning and creating. This course is ideal if you’re looking for more than just a one-off experience - it’s for those who want to build confidence, enjoy the rhythm of weekly making, and experience the beauty of slow, mindful craft. Each week builds on the last: Week 1: Learn to centre clay and throw simple forms. Week 2: Continue practising and refining shapes. Week 3: Trim and prepare your pieces for firing. Week 4: Glaze your creations and make them truly your own.
